Our Equipment

Our equipmentConsumables are kindly supplied by EMAS – we have to buy Defibrillators, replacement pads, batteries for the defib, kit bags, BP machines, Temperature gauges and other bits and pieces like our tops and jackets – this is why we need donations as its the expensive bits of the kit we need to buy!

Typically responders carry the following equipment:

  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Oxygen, trauma masks and bag-valve-mask
  • Sphygmomanometer (Blood pressure monitor)
  • Suction unit
  • Temperature monitoring
  • Variety of bandages and dressings
  • Burns dressings
  • Torch

All the above kit is carried in a single bag and weighs approx 15kg!

Responders are also issued with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including sterile gloves, coveralls, and high visibility jackets.

The majority of our fundraising is for the purchasing and maintenance of equipment. We are very grateful to our sponsors but we could also do with more. If you would like to help please get in touch.
